KZSU turned 60 on January 6, 2007. To celebrate we will be having a 60 hour marathon, one hour for each year we've been on the air.

the "Rules" (for music DJs):

• All music for the hour corresponding to that year must be music released (not re-released) during that year. For previously unreleased material released on, say, a rarities album much after the recording date, the music in eligible for either the year it was recorded or released. For instance, the Bob Dylan 'Philharmonic Hall' album would be eligible for 1964 (recording year) and 2004 (release year).
• approximately 9.01 minutes past the hour, the DJ will play a "Hit of the Year" that (s)he has picked. The "Hit" is broadly defined in terms of charting on Billboard Hot 100, Billboard R&B, CMJ, KZSU Charts or any international chart.
• Otherwise, all musical choices are up to the DJ

Alumni DJs
Efforts will be made to get KZSU alumni DJs back to DJ for some of the years they were on the air.

Palto Alto Online ran a story. The Stanford Daily recapped the event afterwards with an article, as did the Stanford Magazine.
